Fully Automatic Vertical Strapping Machine for Production and Packaging Lines

VERTICAL STRAPPER SSH is a fully automatic strapping machine developed and manufactured by W PRODUCTION for vertically securing pallets, grouped packages and bulky industrial products using PP or PET strapping. The machine automatically guides the strap vertically around the load, tensions it to the preset force, joins it using a vibration weld and then cuts the strap.

The side-mounted strapping head facilitates integration into conveyor systems while providing easy access for servicing and maintenance. Combined with strapping, protective corners and edges, machine stretch films and other packaging materials, it provides a comprehensive solution for automated load securing.

Automatic Vertical Strapping Without Manual Operation

VERTICAL STRAPPER SSH automatically performs the entire strapping process. Once the product reaches the working position, sensors or the higher-level control system confirm its correct position. The machine then feeds the strap along the defined strapping path, tensions it to the required force, creates a strong vibration-welded joint and automatically cuts the strap.

The automated process ensures high repeatability, consistent strapping quality and a smooth product flow without the need for manual operator intervention.

Tensioning Force up to 3,500 N

The tensioning force can be continuously adjusted within a range of 50 – 3,500 N according to the type, weight and stability of the packaged product. The machine can therefore be configured for a wide range of applications – from cartons and grouped packages to heavier palletised industrial products.

Fast Strapping Cycle

One strapping cycle takes approximately 7 seconds, making VERTICAL STRAPPER SSH suitable for automated production and dispatch lines with high productivity requirements.

Its robust construction and industrial components enable stable operation even in multi-shift production environments.

Vibration-Welded Joint Without Metal Seals

After tensioning, the PP or PET strap is joined using vibration welding technology. This creates a strong joint without the need for metal seals or additional joining materials.

Siemens S7-1200 Control System

The machine is controlled by an industrial Siemens S7-1200 system. The control system enables operating programmes and individual strapping sequences to be configured while also providing manual control of machine functions during setup or servicing.

Designed for Integration into Automated Lines

VERTICAL STRAPPER SSH is primarily designed for integration into production, packaging, dispatch and logistics lines. The dimensions of the strapping path, working height, machine orientation, conveyor systems, safety features and communication with the higher-level control system can all be adapted to the specific application.

W PRODUCTION can design not only the strapping machine itself, but also a complete automated workstation including conveyors, a turntable, safety fencing, electrical installation and software integration.

PP or PET Strapping

The machine is designed for PP or PET strapping in widths of 12, 16 or 19 mm. The appropriate strap type is selected according to the weight, stability and handling requirements of the product.
