Fully Automatic Vertical Strapping Machine for Palletised Loads

VERTICAL STRAPPER SH is a fully automatic strapping machine developed and manufactured by W PRODUCTION for the vertical securing of palletised loads using PP or PET strapping. The fixed strapping frame ensures precise guidance of the strap around the load, while the side-mounted strapping head provides easy access for operation, maintenance and servicing.

The machine is primarily designed for direct integration into conveyor systems within production, packaging and industrial lines. The automatic operating cycle secures the pallet without the need for manual strapping, providing a stable and repeatable process.

Automatic Vertical Strapping

Once the pallet moves into the defined strapping position, sensors confirm its correct position. The machine then automatically feeds the strap vertically around the palletised load, tensions it to the preset force, creates a strong vibration-welded joint and cuts the strap.

The entire strapping process is performed automatically according to the selected programme, making VERTICAL STRAPPER SH suitable for integration into operations requiring high strapping accuracy and repeatability.

Tensioning Force 50 – 3,500 N

The tensioning force can be continuously adjusted within a range of 50 – 3,500 N. The setting can be adapted to the type and stability of the specific palletised load to achieve the required level of load securing.

Strapping Cycle of Approximately 7 Seconds

VERTICAL STRAPPER SH achieves a strapping cycle of approximately 7 seconds per cycle. The fast and repeatable operating process makes it suitable for production and industrial lines with high throughput requirements.

Fixed Frame for Precise Strap Guidance

The fixed strapping frame precisely defines the path of the strap and its position on the palletised load. The construction is designed to provide a stable and repeatable process during automatic operation.

Side-Mounted Strapping Head

A characteristic feature of the VERTICAL STRAPPER SH is its fixed side-mounted strapping head. Its position provides easy access to the strapping mechanism for inspection, strap replacement, regular maintenance and servicing.

PP or PET Strapping

The machine operates with PP or PET strapping in widths of 12, 16 or 19 mm. The strap type and width can be selected according to the specific application and the requirements for securing the palletised load.

After tensioning, the strap is joined using a vibration weld, creating a strong joint without the need for additional joining materials.

Industrial Siemens S7-1200 Control System

The machine is controlled by an industrial Siemens S7-1200 system. The programmable control system enables automatic management of strapping sequences as well as manual control of individual functions during machine setup, inspection or servicing.

Direct Integration into the Production Line

VERTICAL STRAPPER SH is designed as part of a complete automated workstation. The machine can be mechanically, electrically and digitally integrated into an existing production or conveyor line.

Depending on the specific project, a complete solution can be designed including pallet handling, conveyors, safety systems, electrical installation and communication with a higher-level control system.

The strapping frame dimensions, conveyor height and additional equipment are designed individually according to the pallet dimensions, load type, required throughput and production line layout.

The machine can be equipped with:
