Fully Automatic Horizontal Strapping Machine for Pallets and Bulky Products

HORIZONTAL STRAPPER is a fully automatic strapping machine developed and manufactured by W PRODUCTION for the horizontal securing of palletised, stacked and bulky products using PP or PET strapping. The machine automatically guides the strap around the product, tensions it to the preset force, joins it by friction welding and prepares the load for safe handling, storage or dispatch.

The machine can operate as a standalone automated workstation or be fully integrated into a production, packaging or logistics line. In combination with strapping, protective corners and edge protectors, machine stretch films and other packaging materials, it provides a comprehensive solution for automated load securing.

Automatic Horizontal Strapping Without Manual Intervention

HORIZONTAL STRAPPER automatically performs the entire strapping cycle – from strap feeding and tensioning to creating a strong friction-welded joint and cutting the strap. According to the preset sequence, the strapping frame moves to the required heights, allowing multiple horizontal straps to be applied to a single product or pallet.

The result is consistent strapping quality, increased productivity and a significant reduction in manual labour required to secure palletised goods.

Tensioning Force up to 4,500 N

The tensioning force can be continuously adjusted within a range of 100 – 4,500 N according to the type of product, the strapping material used and the required level of load securing. This makes the machine suitable for both lighter packages and heavy industrial products and palletised loads.

Industrial GS41 Strapping Head

The machine uses a professional GS41 strapping head designed for PP and PET strapping. The strap ends are joined using friction welding technology, eliminating the need for metal seals or additional joining materials.

The strap feeding speed reaches 4 m/s, while one strapping cycle takes approximately 7 seconds.

Precise Control with Siemens S7-1200

The machine is controlled by an industrial Siemens S7-1200 system. It allows strapping sequences to be programmed, individual strapping positions to be set, the number of applied straps to be defined and the required tensioning force to be adjusted. Individual machine functions can also be operated manually during setup, servicing or maintenance.

Designed for the Specific Production Line

HORIZONTAL STRAPPER is not manufactured as a universal standard machine. Each system can be adapted to the specific product, pallet dimensions, required number of strapping positions, production capacity and associated technologies.

The dimensions of the strapping frame, working height, strapping head extension, conveyor systems, safety elements and communication with a higher-level control system can all be designed individually.

PP or PET Strapping

The machine can operate with both PP and PET strapping in widths of 12, 16 or 19 mm. The type of strap can be selected according to the weight, stability and handling requirements of the packaged product.

• PP strapping – an economical and flexible solution for lighter and medium-duty products, cartons and palletised loads.
• PET strapping – a strong solution for heavy pallets and products exposed to higher dynamic loads; in many applications, it can replace steel strapping.
